About our association

In 2007 some enthusiastic fans of the breed started conversations about the possibilities of saving the breed and the tasks which sometimes seem really hard when immediate help is needed to rescue a dog. It was obvious that a stable financial background is required to fulfill this activity-, because everybody shall dip into purse if a pension shall be arranged quickly or the costs of medication shall be paid. The idea arose to establish an association for this purpose as it is easier to ask for subsidy for an official bank account than as a private person on the basis of trust. As a legal entity we have possibility to look for and use such financial resources which we could not have as private persons. We asked for advice from several experienced breeders, animal rescue associations and trainers which are specialized for this breed.

We prepared the Charter of the Association, we submitted our request to the Metropolitan Court and the First Hungarian Russian BRT Club was registered in January 22, 2008.

On the annual General Meeting of the Karakán Club (Russian Breeds' Club of Hungarian Kennel Club) held in March 1, 2008 the Club assured our team of their support with unanimous vote.
